Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat Review Page

I did a mindnumbing amount of research before I decided on the Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat.  Right now I’ve got a 20-month-old, and my youngest just turned five months old. Our new vehicle that we just got includes side curtain airbags. Since you’re much more likely to be rear ended our hit head on, I wasn’t really very worried about a side impact collision. The thing that I was really worried about was if the side bags deployed, would my old car seat able to take that kind of impact, I didn’t really think so especially since I can never really get the thing good and secured. It seems to me that the wings on the Boulevard would help protect your baby’s head from that kind of side-impact.

First I was worried that my kids wouldn’t be able to see out of the window because of the wings, but it’s not a problem at all. I really fell in love with this car seat, that I actually bought two of them one for each of my kids. It took me alot longer to get my old car seat out of the car than it did to get the Boulevard in. All I did was attached the three latches, and then took a seat in the chair and pulled the lower latch anchors secure at the same time. Also it’s super easy to remove the latches as well. Because keep in mind that when your kid weighs 48 pounds or more to use the seatbelt to anchor the seat instead of the latch. The wings also double as an excellent head rest for a napping child. On my old car seat my babies head would always flop around up and down in a very unnatural position. The hugs system is also really great for preventing your child from pulling the chest clip down. On my old car seat my baby was able to push the chest clip down and get her arms out of the straps.

I’ll admit that these car seats are a bit pricier than the others, but I would honestly pay anything to make sure that my kids are safe as possible. If you’ve got a toddler and are considering getting the seat you also want to check out the wizard, it’s the same except it doesn’t include the body pillow, but it’s a lot cheaper. I was gonna get one for my kid but it didn’t come in the Onyx color, just the Navy or the blue. I could never imagine buying a different seat, and I would really suggest that you get this one to help ensure the safety of your children.
